Al Iaquinta (7-2-1) will meet UFC newcomer Kevin Lee (6-0) at UFC 169 at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. on February 1st.

The Serra Longo lightweight and former Ring of Combat lightweight champion, Iaquinta has racked up back-to back victories over Ryan Couture and Piotr Hallman. Iaquinta first entered the octagon after becoming a finalist on “The Ultimate Fighter” season 15. Iaquinta was submitted by Michael Chiesa, handing him his second career lost. Iaquinta will now have the opportunity to fight close to home as he meets Lee on Superbowl weekend.

Lee has never been defeated and has fought for many different smaller organizations. he has finished his last 3 fights via submission. Lee does not have the experience that Iaquinta has, but has defeated fighters like Joseph Lile, Travis Gervais, and J.P. Reese.
