This past Friday at Ring of Combat 46, 31 year-old Brendan Barrett continued his win streak, making it five straight wins. Barrett earned his fifth consecutive victory by defeating Miodrag Petkovic via TKO in the very first round.
Back in 2011, Barrett was (4-6) and his career did not look like it was going anywhere. Barrett went on to win three fights in 2012, a submission win over J.A. Dudley, a TKO win over Joe Stripling, and a decision over Randy Smith. When “Brutal” took his first fight in 2013, he kept competing at a high level, winning the ROC heavyweight title by finishing Silvio Santos by TKO in just 33 seconds of round one at ROC 44. Barrett has always been a finisher, but recently has really turned things up in the regional heavyweight division. Barrett has fought inside the ROC cage six times in his career, with a total record of (3-2-1). Some other winners at ROC 46 were Frankie Perez, Shane Burgos, James Jenkins, Levan Makishvili, among others.
