Nick “The Jersey Devil” Catone (9-4) will greet Tom “Kong” Watson (10-6) at UFC 169 on February 3rd at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.
Brick Township’s own, Catone has recently suffered a two fight skid, losing to Chris Camozzi and T.J. Waldburger. “The Jersey Devil” looked to fight for a second time at welterweight, but did not make weight for his bout with James Head. Catone was eventually hospitalized for signs of dehydration. Catone has not fought in all of 2013, but now has the opportunity to start off 2014 with a bang. Catone will also return to middleweight.
In August at UFC 163, Watson suffered his second UFC lost after he was defeated via unanimous decision by Thales Leites. The English fighter is (1-2) in the UFC. Watson’s sole UFC victory was a TKO win over Stanislav Nedkov at UFC on FUEL TV 7.
