World Series of Fighting has acquired Aggression Fighting Championship and will hold it’s first event in Canada on December 7th at WSOF 7. Headlining this event will be a light-heavyweight match-up between Anthony “Rumble” Johnson (15-4) and Mike “Mak” Kyle (20-10-1). Also on the card will be the rescheduled middleweight tournament between Elvis “The King” Mutapcic (13-2) and Jesse “JT Money” Taylor (26-9)
This will be the promotion’s first event outside the United States. WSOF president Ray Sefo said ”From the beginning, we have maintained our desire to bring our elite-level mixed martial arts action to Canada and the great MMA fans that live there, as well as markets around the globe.”
Johnson is (2-0) inside the World Series of Fighting cage. Johnson won his WSOF debut when he knocked out D.J. Linderman in the very first round. Johnson then headlined WSOF 2 against Andrei Arlovski in a heavyweight bout. Johnson ended up earning a decision victory.
Kyle is also coming off of a fight with Arlovski. The 33-year-old fell short when he lost via decision. Before this fight Kyle earned a KO victory over Travis Wiuff at CFA 11. Kyle is just (1-2) in his last 3 bouts.
Mutapcic and Taylor will finally meet inside the cage after the New Jersey State Athletic Control Board delayed their planned WSOF 5 bout. The winner of the bout moves on to meet David Branch for World Series of Fighting’s middleweight title.
