Roger Bowling and Abel Trujillo will gave their rematch at UFC on FOX 9 in Sacramento, California on September 14th at the Sleep train arena. The first time these two lightweights met, Trujillo landed an illegal knee to Bowling. The fight was stopped and ruled a no contest after Bowling was unable to continue. Since then, both fighters have been begging for the rematch.
Bowling is (0-1) inside the octagon after losing in his UFC debut via KO to Anthony Njokuani. He is currently riding a two fight losing streak which also includes a unanimous decision lost to the former Strikeforce lightweight champion, Tarec Saffiedine. Previous tot hat he was riding a two fight win streak.
Trujillo is (1-1) inside the octagon. he had a successful debut when he finished Marcus LeVesseur at UFC on FOX 5, but fell short when he was dominated by Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 160. That lost snapped a five fight win streak for the 30-year-old.
