The Bellator season 9 lightweight semi-finals will be headed to New Mexico at the Santa Ana Star Center for Bellator 105.

Saad Awad and Will Brooks will be the event’s headliner as Brooks will seek revenge after losing to Awad in last season’s tournament. “Unfortunately I wasn’t able to finish what I started in the first tournament, but this time around things will end differently” said Brooks. Brooks had a successful opening round fight as he had a dominating unanimous decision victory over former UFC lightweight, John Alessio. Awad was also successful in the opening round as he defeated Martin Stapleton in the first round via submission.

In the other lightweight semifinal, Bellator veteran Ricardo Tirloni will meet Russian submission artist, Tiger Sarnavskiy. Tirloni had a tough fight against Rich Clementi, but ended up walking away with the decision. Sarnavskiy on the other hand had one of  the most impressive fights in the tournament thus far, by finishing  Marcus Davis int eh very first round.

Six additional New Mexico athletes will fight on the preliminary card, held in conjunction with Orthrus Promotions. All of the preliminary fights will card will be streamed exclusively on Spike.com.
