Demian Maia has fought for the UFC for quite some time now. He recently suffered a loss to Chris Weidman at UFC on FOX 2. Today Maia announced via twitter that he will be making the move to welterweight and the next time fans will see him in the octagon, he will be fighting in the welterweight division. Maia was pretty successful in the middleweight division, so it should be interesting to see how he does in the welterweight division.
